7 . Certification exam
Before scheduling an online exam, candidates must submit an online exam profile via their Lextractiv international account. Candidates must provide a full-face photo, as well as government or non-government identification, with data other than full name and photo hidden.
Candidates taking the paper exam must complete the Candidate Identification Sheet (CISH) before starting the exam. In the CISH, they must provide their full name, e-mail address and additional details about the exam session, such as exam title, date and location. The sole purpose of collecting this information is to enable Lextractiv international to identify candidates.
Lextractiv international will use your full name and e-mail address to register you in the examination processing system. Lextractiv international is an authorized PECB partner.
For PECB training courses, PECB may use your full name and e-mail address to register you for PECB training, if this step has not already been completed by Lextractiv international.
After completing the training, candidates can take the certification exam on paper or via PECB’s online exam platform. The date of announcement of the exam results depends on various factors; after the exam results have been issued, Lextractiv international and the trainer (PECB-certified trainer) will be able to view the exam results in order to complete administrative tasks (e.g., complete the candidate list, schedule exam retakes). This applies to all participants who, after completing the training, take their first attempt at a paper exam, retake a paper exam, take their first attempt at an online exam, or retake an online exam.
If, due to a disability, a candidate requires special accommodations during the exam, they must complete the Form for Candidates with a Disability and provide Lextractiv international with the necessary documentation so that the request can be considered for approval. Information concerning the candidate’s medical condition is treated in the strictest confidence.
7.1 . Examinations for our training courses
PECB Exams, the application we developed to offer online certification exams, is also used to provide certification exams for IAS-accredited PECB certification programs.
The application shares the webcam feed and the candidate’s computer screen, not simultaneously, with the remote online exam proctor at any time during the candidate’s online exam and verification process. The feed is stopped at the end of the exam and the invigilator can no longer access it.
During the verification stage and the online review process, the application takes automatic screenshots every 20 minutes from the stream selected by the supervisor. The remote proctor is also able to take screenshots to verify the candidate’s identity (compare the screenshots with the photos the candidate has provided with the exam profile), and when/if any suspicious activity or behavior going against our exam policy is noticed during the exam process.
Data from the exam application is stored on Amazon S3 Simple Storage Service, and the compartments are encrypted by default with an AES-256 bit encryption key.
Data may only be viewed by authorized LEXTRACTIV INTL. personnel. and IAS request, and are not shared with other parties.
Screenshots and test profiles are kept for 3 years. The exam profile containing your username and profile photo can also be voluntarily deleted from the my PECB dashboard after you have received your exam results.
